Small Business Assistance Sites

As always, there are lots of new business resources on the web. The following is a list of my current favorites.

www.sba.gov/training The Small Business Association is a goldmine of information. Earlier this month they created an online classroom of small business resources. The E-Business Institute is a 24-hour virtual classroom of more than 70 free tutorials, workshops and counseling guides for entrepreneurs.

Marketing Associations

www.marketingpower.com The American Marketing Association houses tons of information on marketing, advertising, B2B, B2C, training etc.

www.the-dma.org The Direct Marketing Association provides information and services to both direct marketers and consumers.

www.emarketingassociation.com The eMarketing Association is an international association of eMarketing companies, professionals and students. The eMA provides marketing resources, certifications, educational programs and events to its members and the marketing community.

www.marketing.org The Business Marketing Association is an 80+ year old business-to-business marketing and communications organization.

Business Portals

www.bpubs.com A business publications search engine that exclusively indexes business articles, publications, tutorials, reports, papers, and other business content.

www.business-resource-directory.com This is a directory of online business and e-commerce sits for building, marketing, and promoting internet business.

www.business-to-business-resources.com Here you will find links to business related websites, news and articles. The goal this search portal is to assemble a comprehensive and up-to-date directory of B2B resources.

Business Weblogs

websense.blogspot.com Scott Knowles weblog about marketing, advertising, media and business.

www.snarkhunting.com A weblog all about naming and branding.

Online Publications

www.inc.com/home Inc. Magazine's online version of their great monthly magazine. The neat thing about the web version is that you can easily go back through the archives via their search box.

www.entrepreneur.com Entrepreneur Magazine focuses on information concerning starting, funding and growing a small business.

www.fastcompany.com Fast Company chronicles future-minded companies and businesses, plus they provide advice and tools to help readers become more effective executives.

www.businessweek.com Business Week online. This is a great source of global business news.

General Small Business Sites

www.smartbiz.com Covers issues concerning small business owners from finance, tax and HR to finding the best technology for the best price.

www.quicken.com/small_business This is Quicken's small business advice section of their website. If you use Intuit's financial software in your business it will help you streamline many of your internal procedures.

www.toolkit.cch.com CCH provides many of the information, tools, sample documents and news that small business owners need to start, run and grow a successful small business.

www.psychtests.com This is a whole battery of online psychological tests, assessments and data management systems. Or just a great place to see how weird you and your pals really are. If you have any online business sites you recommend, let me know. I will include them in my next update.
